French Mantle Clock Beveled Glass Candelabras A. Bonnaud Circa 1920-30 Art Deco
This clock was made by a small clock maker in St. Pierre Le Moutier a small French village in the eastern center region of France. Research shows little on the maker whose name is A. The clock measures 14 1/2″ tall 12″ wide and 4 deep. Each of the candelabras are 7 1/2 tall. It is beautifully constructed of two different colors of marble and is adorned by a large Alsatian Shepherd dog. The piece has two art deco style candelabras that accompany it. Each of the three pieces has small ball feet on each corner and none of the marble is broken, cracked or chipped. The face of the clock is hand painted and has a very appealing design and shape. Even the hands are unique and hand made. The clock runs and strikes with a pendulum movement. It is clean and was serviced and stored for more than two decades. I used a borrowed key to wind it and check it. I might use a separate box for the clock and the candelabras. Please see the pictures for more details and ask me anything else you might need to know.
